The goal of the western Stearns County DFL group (Stearns 12) is to encourage local participation in our democracy.
Members live in Sauk Centre and in nearby communities from the western edge of Albany in the east to Brooten in the south, bordering Pope, Douglas, and Todd counties.
The group participates in Highway 71 ditch clean-up, hosts Critical Conversations discussions of local and national issues, registers voters at the Stearns County Fair, march in parades, plants trees in local communities, collects and shares information about legislation that impacts our rural communities, and plans meet-and-greet events for candidates for public office who support our rural values. Those values include a healthy and safe environment for our children and working families, good education, rural health care, and job opportunities.
We focus on local issues that matter to local small businesses, employees, families, and the farming community.
