    About Us

Voice of Alexandria is powered by three Paradis Broadcasting radio stations in West Central Minnesota. The original station, KXRA-AM (News/Talk) first went on the air in July of 1949. Since then it has been a key part of the Alexandria area; providing news, information and entertainment. KXRA-FM (Classic Rock) began in the 1967. The third station, KXRZ-FM (90’s & Now) although originally on the air around 1983, was added to the Paradis Broadcasting family in 2000.

KXRA-AM (1490AM) hosts the Alexandria areas only local talk shows. You can learn everything from the latest congressional news to the best recipe for meatloaf, all in one place. A few of the station’s favorite shows are “Open Line” and “Swap Shop”. Another locally produced show is “Home Grown”.

KXRA-FM (92.3FM) is West Central Minnesota’s home for classic rock. It not only plays all of the songs from the legends of classic rock, it incorporates a lot of local information throughout the day. KX-92 keeps you connected! Listeners enjoy daily trivia, contesting, the “Nine O’Clock Double Shot”, the “Comedy Corner” and the “5 O’Clock Rock Block” to name a few.

KXRZ-FM (99.3FM) is the best mix of the 90's and Now. This format brings a very ''adult feel'' to a young adult audience. It's a station both teens and their parents can agree on. Z99 features long music sets and makes for excellent audiences both inside the office and in the car. The “Buffet of Fun” morning show gets people going with its spontaneity and mix of today’s hits.
