Time Travelers Trek

Join the Sauk Centre community for a special celebration as we proudly present an event dedicated to our rich history! Step through time and experience the charm of days gone by with engaging period games that promise fun for the whole family. Walk and ride along for guided historical tours and discover fascinating stories told by period actors about our town’s past. Take part in the activities at Sinclair Lewis' boyhood home, the Little Red School House the History Museum and much more. Enjoy the games, food trucks and lively music and dancing all at Sinclair Lewis Park. This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with Sauk Centre's cherished history and create lasting memories. We look forward to seeing you there!

• Bar Crawl — 11 AM to Midnight

Morning

• 10 AM – 1 PM — Cemetery Tour ($5 ticket at info booth; bus from Sinclair Lewis Park, meet “residents” who share their story)

• 10:15 AM — History & Murals Tour (Meet at the 510 Art Lab)

• 11 AM – Noon — Wedding Dances Through the Ages (Join in at the band shell)

• 11 AM – 3 PM — Little Red Schoolhouse (Kids’ crafts & treats, Sauk Centre Area History Museum, Sinclair Lewis Boyhood Home open)

Midday

• 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM — Historic Homes Tour ($5 ticket at info booth; bus from Sinclair Lewis Park, visit 5 historic homes)

• 12:30 PM – 3 PM — Sinclair Lewis Boyhood Home Porch-Side Readings (Selections from Sinclair Lewis’ works)

• 1 PM – 2:45 PM — Sinclair Lewis Park Fun & Games (Carnival-style games, cake walk, tug-of-war, portraits by Chris Thomas)

• 1 PM – 3 PM — Revivalist Preachers (Passionate performances at Sinclair Lewis Park & Sinclair Lewis Ave/Main St. corner)

Afternoon

• 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM — Jam Session (Sinclair Lewis Park Shelter)

• 2:45 PM — Magician (Illusion show at the band shell)

• 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM — The 60/40 Band Concert (Sinclair Lewis Park Bandshell)

Evening

• 4 PM , 5 PM, 6 PM — Ghost Tales in the Pub (The Palmer House)

• 4 PM – 7:30 PM — Plein Air Art Voting (Vote for your favorite; winners announced during Trivia)

• 7 PM — Teresa’s Time Traveler’s Trivia (Legion; hosted by Teresa Schad) Teams can include 1-7 people per team. Cost is $10 per person.
