Parade Registration - Sinclair Lewis Days
Hello from the 2026 Sinclair Lewis Days Parade Committee!
You’re invited to celebrate our 55th Annual Sinclair Lewis Days with us! It’s Once Upon a Main Street and where we plan to celebrate the stories that shaped our town and the people still writing it. We have a full line up of events taking place from July 15th – July 19th, watch for details with our lineup of events. Our parade is on Saturday, July 18th at 7:00pm sharp! The Sinclair Lewis Days Parade is one of the main events of our celebration and draws large crowds to our community with more than 15,000 people lining the streets!
Our committee’s goal is to have a 100-unit parade geared around this year’s theme, “Once Upon a Main Street”. Think fairytale books and gardens, magical creatures, and literary icons! Our number one criterion for our parade is entertainment! We encourage you to start working on your parade floats early and to help us write the next chapter. Get creative and let’s see your favorite storybook themed floats and we hope for a magical parade lineup as we gather to celebrate an incredible 55th Annual Sinclair Lewis Days!
We will be giving cash prizes in the form of Sauk Centre Chamber Bucks based on judging for Best Themed Float, Best Non-Profit Float, Best Musical Float, & Best Youth Float.
Registration is open to the first 100 registrants. Online registration is preferred/recommended, But you may also register by mailing your application, or by email.

The line-up will be based primarily, but not exclusively, on the order the entries are received and type of float. Get your entry forms submitted early as we only have room for the first 100.
Once your application is received and accepted, and our details are finalized, you will receive more information regarding the parade line-up. This will include your unit number and a map of the parade route. **This information will be sent by the 2nd week of July** If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Parade Registration OPEN: Register Now through June 12th for $50. Late entry fee is $100 after June 12th.
* Non Member Businesses/Non-Profits/individual - $50 (after 6/12 $100)
* Political Parties, Politicians - $50 (after 6/12 $100)
* Police/Fire/EMT – No Charge
* Visiting Royalty/Ambassadors – No Charge
* Business/Organizations that are Members of the Sauk Centre Area Chamber – No Charge as it’s part of your member benefits*.
