Stearns History Museum Breakfast Club: The John D Morgan Papers

Breakfast Club: The John D. Morgan Papers with Marian RengelStart your morning with local history at the Stearns History Museum’s Breakfast Club program.
Former St. Cloud Times writer and longtime Stearns History Museum volunteer Marian Rengel will share insights from her work with the John D. Morgan Papers, part of the Central Minnesota Historical Collection housed in the St. Cloud State University Archives.
John D. Morgan (1844–1920) was a civil engineer and surveyor who played an important role in the development of Central Minnesota. During this presentation, Rengel will discuss Morgan’s life, the historical significance of his papers, and what these documents reveal about the region’s early growth and infrastructure. The collection was donated to the archives by Morgan’s son, Arthur, in 1968.
