DESCRIPTION:50th Annual Sinclair Lewis Days Parade - Saturday\, July 17th @ 7:00 PM\n\n \n\nHello from the 2021 Sinclair Lewis Days Parade Committee! We would like to invite you to celebrate our 50th (almost) Annual Sinclair Lewis Days with us! We have visions of gold and we want to celebrate the past\, present & future. Events will take place from July 14th - July 18th\, watch for details with our lineup of events. Our parade is on Saturday\, July 17th at 7:00pm sharp! The Sinclair Lewis Days Parade is one of the main events of our celebration and brings a large number of spectators to our wonderful city.\n\n \n\nPlease read carefully as there have been lots of changes made to the SLD Parade!\n\n \n\nOur committees goal is to have a 100-unit parade geared around this year's theme\, "Visions of Gold - Celebrating the Past\, Present & Future". Our number one criterion for our parade is entertainment! We encourage you to start working on your parade floats early! So\, pick your favorite decade and your entry can match the theme from that decade\, or maybe it's one of our iconic landmarks from the past\, or possibly a glimpse into the future! Get creative and help us celebrate the past 50 years in style! \n\n \n\nWe will be giving cash prizes in the form of Sauk Centre Chamber Bucks based on judging for Best Themed Float\, Best Non-Profit Float\, Best Musical Float\, & Best Youth Float. The line-up will be based primarily\, but not exclusively\, on the order the entries are received and type of float. Get your entry forms submitted early as we only have room for the first 100. \n\n \n\nOnce your application is received and accepted\, and our details are finalized\, you will receive more information regarding the parade line-up. This will include your unit number and a map of the parade route. This information will be sent by the 2nd week of July.
