DESCRIPTION:Sauk Centre Reads Together!\n\n\n\nThe Friends of the Sinclair Lewis Library are planning their very first Community Read!\n\n\n\nWe are inviting the community to read with us! This read is featuring the book "Evidence of V:  A Novel in Fragments\, Facts and Fictions\," by Sheila O'Connor. The book was inspired by the story of the author's grandmother\, who was incarcerated at the Minnesota Home School for Girls\, right here in Sauk Centre.\n\n\n\nThe following organizations have collaborated on this event: The Sauk Centre History Museum\, Great River Regional Library\, Sauk Centre Community Education\, Eagles Healing Nest\, Stearns History Museum\, and River of Life Church.\n\n\n\nThe Community Read will include a visit with the author\, tours of the Eagles Healing Nest (formerly the MN Home School for Girls)\, historic displays and artifacts\, the author will speak about her book with discussion to follow.\n\n\n\nSchedule of Events:\n\n9:00 am - 1:00 pm: Tours of the Eagles Healing Nest (formerly MN Home School for Girls) - Trolley Tours\, Driving\, and Walking Tours Available.\n\n\n\nNoon - 1:00 pm: Lunch on your own\, we invite you to explore Sauk Centre and the many dining opportunities\, click here for options!\n\n\n\n11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Sauk Centre History Museum & Research Center open for tours and viewing\, located in lower level of Sauk Centre Sinclair Lewis Library\n\n\n\n1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Join us at the River of Life Church for displays & discussion\n\n	 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Displays & Artifacts from MN Homeschool for Girls\n	 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Author Sheila O'Connor shares her story and insight regarding "Evidence of V: A Novel in Fragments\, Facts\, and Fiction"\n	 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Presentations and Community Discussion - short presentation of "The Minnesota Home School 1911-1976" written by Joan McDonald. Join us for a time of sharing and discussion of how the Home School impacted our community.
